Since all the weapons and armor in the equipment section are assumed to be medium for purposes of weight, but yet can be bought in small, medium, large, and OMGWFRDYBTBTM (Oh My God What F***** Rules Did You Break To Build That Monstrosity), it's a safe bet the specific weapons and armor follow the same rules, they're listed with medium weight, and can be obtained in other sizes.
The only problem is, of course, the cost of raw materials being adjusted. *le sigh* I really wish they'd break down the cost of the specific weapons and armor for just such a reason.
Should I be wary of attempting to purchase these items in alternate sizes?
Ask your GM to be sure.
The biggest issue with the alternate sizes is the cost modification to the underlying armor. Although that can usually be calculated (celestial chain shirt is still a chain shirt, so add the cost difference between a medium and large chain shirt).
Could there be some hidden rules preventing it?
Since I can't read the invisible rules they printed in the space-time warp added to each CRB, I can't answer this one with anything other than 'Maybe'. You should probably ask a clairvoyant or a psychic.

What if this was for PFS?
You should ask that on the PFS boards, not the Rules boards, two completely different animals.

Yes. Not really the place for PFS questions.
You see, there are two reasons for this question:
1) All the PCs(besides me) are small sized, some are interested in Specific Weapons/Armors.
2) I am a Titan Mauler, and am interested in some Specific Weapons.
As the answers to questions effect the whole party, I want to have all relevant rules covered.
