To heal an eidolon

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Since an eidolon is an outsider, what are the options available (in CRB and APG) to heal it?

° Destroying it > Next day full hp
° Rejuvenate eidolon?

How about "cure ___ wounds"? Does it work?
Channel positive energy?
Long term care?

long term care (unless summoner doesnt sleep) wouldn't work.
destroying it (rather having it destroyed) would bring it back to full once it was resummoned, 24 hrs (not just sleep) later
rejuv works
C*W worksExcept for Synthesist
lifelink
channel should work

again...

synthesist eidolon cannot be healed except by lifelink when it would be destroyed, destroy and resummon 24 hrs later, or rejuv eidolon.

Ah, synthesist can't get C_W? Could you point in right direction?

C*W is not on summoner list, but C*W cures HP not temp HP. you could heal summoner, but not armour.

seen it many times, but cant find it atm.

Scarab Sages

An eidolon can be healed by any of the normal means except resting.

A sythesist's eidolon can be healed only by the rejuvinate eidolon line of spells.

@IejirIsk while the cure wounds spells are not on the summoner spell list, others can cast them on the eidolon. The ring of spell knowledge can provide a summoner direct access to cure spells.

yea, you said it a bit clearer, thanks Artanthos.

Quick correction to a couple above posts. From the PRD:

A summoner can summon his eidolon in a ritual that takes 1 minute to perform. When summoned in this way, the eidolon hit points are unchanged from the last time it was summoned. The only exception to this is if the eidolon was slain, in which case it returns with half its normal hit points. The eidolon does not heal naturally.

I seem to remember seeing something that said that C_W spells don't heal an Eidolon, but I'm not able to find it at this time.
