Double Barreled Guns and Damage Reduction

Are there any set rule for how double barreled guns work with damage reduction? I'm assuming since you need an attack roll for each shot, damage reduction applies to each shot separately. However, since they are fired at the same time I could see it applying only once.

It does apply to each separately, however there's a feat that will allow it to apply only once: Clustered Shots
