I have a number of recent purchases of pathfinder softcover books where the binding has completely let go after only a couple of uses (reading) of the book. My most recent purchase - Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Irrisen—Land of Eternal Winter - is the worst offender where the pages have all come out of the first half of the book. The rest would surely follow if I were to attempt to finish paging/reading the book.
I have had some of the AP books not survive very well but I have attributed this to the constant use they have been subject to as my group has played through the AP.
But the last few source books have not been very durable after only slight use.
Is anyone else having an issue with the binding?

Once might be a printing error, like not enough glue getting laid down during assembly. More than that does tends to mean something else is happening to the books. Things that might cause issues are stuff like storing in extreme heat or moist environments. Also remember that perfect-bound books like this will break if you try to force them to lie flat.

Mine too! One AP falling apart (book six of Shattered Star) and Irresen as well was wondering the same thing if there was a problem with the printing company or if it was just me. stumbled into this post looking for something else. Mine are well cared for and NEVER bent or laid flat. I returned both of mine to my local hobby store who replaced them.
