Catfolk as a race boon

Sorry if this has been posted before (a quick search didn't turn up anything recent).

I'm wondering if there are/have ever been any catfolk race boons from conventions? And if not, who would like to see this happen?? I know I'd be happy just to have a chance at one at a con! :D

I just realized I don't know how boons are usually won at cons (never been, though I hope to attend PaizoCon this summer). How does that usually go?

I don't believe that Catfolk are currently available as a boon.

There are a couple ways to get boons at cons...the first is to GM. Every con I've been to has had a GM boon that all GMs get (sometimes multiple times, one for each game they run.) There are also player boons that are usually won in some random fashion, like drawing names or rolling a d20. The way player boons are handed out is usually determined by the folks running the con so it varies at each event.

Thanks Jen! Gives me a little more incentive to run some games at my local shop. I was always more of a player than a GM when I was younger.

I heard that kitsune boons were available. Is that still possible, and if so, where?

The past season's Convention GM boon was "Play either a Wayang, Kitsune, or Nagaji." I'd predict that it will be changing over to something else starting at Gencon, but that's just my theory.

I received a Kitsune boon last month at "Con of the North" in St. Paul MN.

I also received a Kitsune boon last month, though at "Genghis Con" in Denver, CO. Waiting patiently to play it. Can't waste such an opportunity. But a catfolk boon would be cool, too.

Down side is I hear many GM's joking about targeting people with limited edition boon races. If they actually do, who knows, but puts one a little on edge.

Mostly the 'hit list' comments I've heard have been towards the goblins.. but most folks who have them have survived GenCon GMs. :D

I know that I will be putting GM boons into the Gameday pots for our Lodge or other events. I got one kitsune pc and I haven't played her yet. :d

I want the catfolk boon, as well! It's the only race outside of the core book I'm interested in.
