This post regards removing the staggered condition.

1) The Restoration domain can remove the staggered condition. There is no duration, the condition is just gone.

2) Zombies are staggered.

So what happens when their staggered condition is removed?

Option One: The staggered condition is gone permanently.

Option Two: The staggered condition is gone until some game check occurs where the rules clash and the rule "Zombies always have the staggered condition" trumps the removal of said condition. This could be instantaneous, the start of the zombie's turn, etc.

This can also be significant regarding the Zero HP Rule (or those at negatives with Diehard or Ferocity).

unless something else is going on... undead at 0hp == destroyed.

RAW, i'd go with the rule of specific beats general (ie: zombies are staggered, not a condition, per se, but part of the creature they didnt wanna rewrite the status over and over)

depending on use, I can see houserule saying its gone for x time (or perm) but RAW wise...

Grand Lodge

I like it! But since Restoration is a subdomain of Healing and undead react poorly to healing I could see a lot of DM's saying no.

Personally I'd let it slide for a short duration.

@IejirIsk Regular old zombies are always staggered.

I don't know about you, but most of the kinds of characters with access to the Restoration subdomain are generally not going to want to remove the staggered condition from any undead, especially ones that are generally inclined to snack on your face. ;)

Sorry, I tend to overuse pronouns. The last sentence

should refer to living creatures.
