Cleric of Sun Wukong (god of Drunkenness), can use Ale / Wine Variant Channeling?

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

Sun Wukong is the god of Drunkenness, Nature, and Trickery.

There *are* Variant Channeling options for Nature and Trickery. However, there is *no* Variant Channeling option for "Drunkenness." The closest match is Ale/Wine.

Can a Cleric of Sun Wukong pick the Variant Channeling Ale/Wine, as it may be considered a close match for "Drunkenness"?

If possible, can you point me to an official Paizo source saying this is true?

This is such a corner case that you're not going to get an official answer on this. From my observations, staff responses tend to only occur on rules questions that affect a large number of people. For all others, they rely on GM adjudication. So it would seem obvious for a homegame GM that you should be able to use this option. However, for PFS, you probably wouldn't be able to as Ale/Wine /= Drunkeness. You can always ask your GM before each session, but expect some to rule against you.
