Sanguine Society

First founder of this magical art, did so under the pretense that there where others in the world that dared called them selves masters of blood. When really they were slaves of it. The first to try to master the bloody magical arts barely had a grasp of control over his own blood when he taught his disciples. However, after his demise during a successful show of power by one of his students, they became the new master of the bloody arts. Despised by the world around them and with a new understanding coming from this terrible accident they took their school and hid it from the world.

Building their small City out of blood and sweat, quiet literally, the Crimson City was founded. Here the magical art of Sanguine Magic flourished and became a natural part of their world. Every Man, Woman, and Child knew the art that ran through their veins, to varying degrees, becoming a part of every day life. Those more powerful became leaders and lived longer lives due to their control over their own blood as well as others.

For centuries they lived in peace, until a terrible earthquake shook their city. Fortunately since their structures where made of the blood of their ancestors. They managed to keep it standing using the magical art that came naturally to them. Its then that the population discovered they lived underground, having some form of other magic give the illusion of an above ground life style. This fact lost to the generations, and kept secret to protect themselves from the world.

Elders of the City attempted to keep the people inside the shattered walls, Giving advice of lies an deceit to keep them 'safe'. This however didn't stop a single redheaded girl from venturing forth into the outside world. Little time passed as she eventually discovered a small town. None could understand her as she spoke only the language of her people. This caused her to lash out on those who assailed her due to their lack of understanding and she killed them quickly. Causing their blood to hit the wall behind them, leaving their empty bodies to fall the ground.

She did not mean to kill them, had they have been like her kin, they simply would have been pushed back a foot or two. She hid for a time, followed back upon her return to her city. Those who followed looked upon the city in absolute horror, the way the people there acted and used their own blood for every day activities caused them to nearly go mad. Despite being discovered as outsiders, the people of the Crimson City let them leave.

Ignorant to the true nature of the Crimson City they caught the attention of many local Kings-men, who learned to fear that power underneath the earth. Thus began the Crimson Crusade, A mass genocide of the Crimson City inhabitants, during the beginning the citizens fled to the inner city seeking safety among the Elders power. When the Crusade eventually surrounded the center, they had already succeeded in eliminating more than three quarters of the population.

This was only accomplished by the fact that the people were inherently peaceful and had only a small police force to defend themselves when the crusade began. But with their backs to the wall, they fought back, even with those few against so many. They pushed them back out of their city walls, consequently leaving them even fewer in number, and taking nearly none of the invaders lives. For the people had learned to worship theirs and others blood and for it to be spilt so easily by these invaders led them to spare as many as they could, but this didn't help deter the oncoming storm.

To cover for their shameful retreat, the Kings-men, lied about the nature of the Crimson City's attack to the rest of the world. And so the world rallied under the guise of defeating the evil 'Invaders' from the bloody underground. By the time they had gathered their forces and invaded the Crimson City. They found it empty, void of any conflict that had ever as well as the presence of the Bloody built structures, the Kings-men, were ridiculed for their musings of a Bloody Magical Art form.

After the armies had left, in their rage they buried where the city once was thoroughly enough to where it would surely never be found again. Then again worried of the return of the Crimson Casters, they ordered that all redheads and red eyes be killed on sight. As this was the common theme among the people of the accursed Crimson City. Whether this was effective or not, they never heard of that degree of blood magic again and neither did the rest of the world. Time passed, forgotten the Conflict with the Crimson City, reminded only by the lessened number of redheads in the world.

(I hate to break the story up like this here, but i'm at a cross roads with either, making this story lead to a sorcerer exclusive bloodline/Prestige Class/Archetype. Or a new class all together. though it helps while writing this i may have gotten more ideas on how to make either or. Also i post this now so i can get some help with making this possible. I left out major details for a reason, its not like you guys haven't run into something like that before. You know being told about MAJOR historical events with varying details left out for speculative purposes.*cough**Aroden**cough cough*(on a side side note: Kings-men was used in lue of something better of which I couldn't think of at the time, its meant to be a generalization for the explicit purpose of being replaced by what ever Paizo(or whoever) decides on. In fact thats the main reason events are led to be so general in the story. Just providing and interesting back story for this thing I'm working on. That and this is just a template on which they can work on/with. Trying my hardest to make this story unique from the other "Blood Magic" users. Seeing as they have the theme of being either Necromatic(made up word) or evil or grotesque in nature.)) [I hear-by give exclusive access of this idea to Paizo publishing, for the purpose of sounding all legal like and making a new Blood Magic based class/Prestige/Archetype/Bloodline/etc,. Suggestions, Criticism, Advice made in this Thread will be greatly appreciated and put up for consideration]

TL;DR.

There is a sorcerer wild bloodline named Sanguine and a prestige class forgot the name though.

OH you must mean that weak bloodline that really only has one ability tied to blood. Basically making you a Vampire.

and the... Bloatmage. There is also the Cruoromancer, which is only available to Dhampirs Wizards(Necromancers).
I know you didn't read, so why comment? Please don't stifle my Suggestion, that I have worked hard on. Fun Fact number 1: the "others in the world that dared called them selves masters of blood. When really they were slaves of it" is my passive reference to those such bloodlines, PrC, Archetypes. But thank you for getting the "TL;DR post" out of the way.
Edit: also, I like your name. Is it angel based with the "el" at the end or is it a reference to something else I am not aware of?

Well I don't really see the suggestion here o_o

But from what I gather you want to make this an introduction for some class. If so I would say thats a story for a Prestige Class no doubt.

I say that because its setting specific and somewhat evil.So no Base Class Material.

Don't think Paizo will pick up on it though, not saying its bad just not their style. And this forum is more for homebrewing anyway ,not really the place where the devs go to look for new ideas.

I suppose with the way I ended it, it would seem to point at that direction for a Prestige Class.
Evil? I suppose, since I left it so open there should be a lot of hate coming from the Sanguine Society, or the remnants anyways, I really tried to take away from what people expect of Blood magic as being inherently evil. UNLESS that's what you did, saw "Blood" magic and automatically thought Evil. I mean I left a pretty big story element that detracted from the initial introduction of them being even possibly evil.
Otherwise have any suggestions on how I can make them seem less evil.

Also what other Thread could I post this in? I actually did look over the list and saw only the Archetype thread(s) which is basically closed. To little to late they always say. I have the misfortune of starting this game late. Not gonna stop me from trying my best to make this happen.
