My players asked me this. He has a ninja and he took shadow clone as his ninja trick.
Ninja trick is a supernatural ability that acts just like mirror image. Can he use it more than once to stack the shadow clones? Or will the previous clones be dismissed?
E.g:
Round 1: A ninja uses shadow clone, 1d4+1 clones appear
Round 2: A ninja uses shadow clone, 1d4+1 clones appear
Will the clones from the first round disappear or remain?

As for your question, I believe they do not stack, you get a new roll for how many you get and the others disappear...I'm not 100% on this though...I will try to find where I read that though
As for your 1d4+X..shadow clone acts as mirror image mechanically, but you do not get more per any level,it calls out the number of clones you get prior to saying it acts as mirror image, if it said instead that "this ability acts as mirror image" without specifying how many you get then it would be different, there are a few threads about it already...you get 1d4 clones no matter what level, it list mirror image so that you know HOW the clones work as well as HOW LONG they last

From Combining Magic Effects in the Magic chapter of the PRD:
"Same Effect More than Once in Different Strengths: In cases when two or more identical spells are operating in the same area or on the same target, but at different strengths, only the one with the highest strength applies."
Using it multiple times would simply give him whichever use had more images.
