Our PCs have recently cleared the tower girls out of their hideout in Magnimar while playing the shattered star ap. Several decided it would be good to build an orpphange as their base to.house orphaned children (including any left orphaned by the actions of the PCs). Pricing this had.been difficult... Using the land and building PDF or would cost 1500+ just for the rooms enough for a few dozen kids. I presume the cost under stronghold builders would be substantially more. I don't have a copy of 1st ed dmg to see castle and stronghold.building prices. What we want is enough open plan for a few dozen kids, half dozen shared bedrooms for older kidsand staff, kitchen, dining and common areas plus a bunkhouse for 6 PCs. Poor urban area, may be able to.cannibalize a few derelict building for parts. My dwarf cleric is highly skilled in stone and carpentry so will do a bit himself to keep the cost down. Any ideas?
It needs be only standard construction of wood and stone though basement and attic space would be useful.
