Hello after Finally opening up my Minis from my February shipment
my Ameiko Kaijitsu Mini came off her base it looks like it wasn't glued on properly after some inspection it doesn't look like it needs replacing the pegs on her feet and the holes on the base are still intact I think a little adhesive should do the trick what kind of Glue should be used for the miniatures I know that some Glues will melt plastic and I don't want to harm the mini or is it better to just get a replacement

To fix mine I just used Super glue. If the pins that the feet rest upon are missing from the base.. you can always pin the feet to the base too..
Or you can send it in and have Wizkids replace it for free. Up to you as either one does work. Though if you send it in you will have to pay Shipping and Handling.

I've had this happen a few times. A dab of superglue worked great for me -- it didn't damage the mini at all, and the mini was back in business in under a minute.

I've moved the thread down to the Miniatures section so you can hopefully get more tips on repairing your mini. If you end up needing the replacement, you can contact Wizkids for the replacement at http://wizkidsgames.com/support/ .

WizKids may replace the mini with a different mini of like rarity though, so I would probably avoid doing this.
As others have mentioned, super glue / crazy glue / gorilla glue will do the trick - especially for just gluing it back onto the base. I only use epoxy glue for my repairs, but its a bit more timely to prepare it.

Interesting, I had not heard this before. So they don't send you the same mini, rather they just any one they want to send?

Well, its sort of an unknown now. When I e-mailed WizKids 2 days ago and asked specifically if they make an effort to replace the mini with the same mini, I got a response that said they only match the mini with one from the same set and rarity.
Someone else sent a similar mail and they were told that they do replace the same minis. If fact, he was told one of his damaged minis they were out of stock on, so they would need to wait awhile until it came back into stock.

Is there a particular brand or "type" of glue people have had success with? My Shaitan (Legends of Golarion 51) arrived broken off at the shins. The feet are on the base, but the rest of the figure isn't. I tried Loctite ultra control and it didn't bind at all.

I just use generic "super glue," although you might get better results with a gel-type than the more watery kinds.
If the join area is especially narrow (across the shins), it won't have a lot of hold strength, and you might need to reinforce it with a pin, either by drilling into it or just gluing the pin along the back of the leg.

Liz Courts once advised me to try Loctite Super Glue: Ultragel Control. It comes in this little blue bottle and you can find it at Home Depot. Its a tad on the expensive side, but of all the super glue I've used for miniatures its the best. (And from Citadel Brand to Zap a Gap to Gorillia Glue, I've used a lot of different types.)

Hey, Sean! The glue I used was a bit on the runny side, so the gel idea is probably a good one. I've never tried pinning, and I'm not sure i have the skill to pull it off, but if I can't get glue on its own to do the trick.
The glue Alexander Augunas mentions is the same brand, but a different formulation. I actually thought I was getting gel, so I will probably just try again.
I've just dived into these minis, and while they look great, I have gotten enough breakage that I question the efficacy of the packaging.

I just did a little experiment, and it works.
1) Clip off a short piece of paper clip, maybe 1/8".
2) Hold one end of it with pliers or needle-nose pliers.
3) Hold the other end of the piece of paper clip in a flame, such as a lighter.
4) Once you have the paper clip good and hot, slowly press it into your plastic mini at the point where it broke (in other words, if the arm broke off at the shoulder, press the hot wire into the arm at the break point).
5) Allow it to cool (or jam it into cold water).
6) Use the pliers to hold the mini (the piece with the paper clip sticking out).
7) Hold the exposed paper clip end sticking out of the mini into a flame, being careful to not put the actual mini in the flame.
8) Once you have the paper clip good and hot, slowly press it into the place on the matching part of the mini (in other words, you're pushing the arm-pin into the mini's shoulder).
9) If you do it right, you should end up with a pinned joint, without needing to drill or glue it. And if it does pop out, you can just use glue on the existing paper clip pin and its corresponding hole in the opposite piece.

Nope, Ultragel Control is exactly what I have, though it is waterier than I expected. I tried again tonight and it still didn't take. Probably gonna have to try pinning.
That's a pretty cool pinning technique. I'm not sure that this particular mini's legs are thick enough to accommodate it, but I think I'll try it anyhow.
I wonder if a needle or actual clothing pin might be a better starting point.

You might want to see about returning the product; I've never had a bottle of Ultragel "water up" on me.
Remember: always buy the blue bottle. There's a difference.
SKR's technique looks interesting. He should tots do a video. And post it to his Twitter. So I have something to watch when I'm sitting in the lunchroom alone tomorrow.

I tired Sean's technique and it worked great right till step 7 when the mini ignited. I blew it out before any real harm was done. I got out the pin vice and drilled the other set of holes. Not the best joins ever. I think one connection might have been a better 1st try. But so far it seems to be holding.

That really is not a great fracture point for repairing. Aside from pinning, the next best thing I would do is use a 2-part epoxy glue. You will get some very good strength from this, and I quite prefer epoxy glues over crazy glue and gorilla glue.
If its a mini you think you might use quite a bit though, I would recommend sending it back to WizKids for replacement.

I'm sure I won't use it much. A size large purple woman just isn't likely to come up all that often unless I use it got a particular recurring character. I'm not all that impressed with what I've read about the return process. Will they even take it once I've tried pinning?

Kor - Orc Scrollkeeper |

I would include a description with your submission indicating that you tried to repair the miniature. I would like to think the fact that you tried to repair first, prior to sending it in would not be held against you. Given the repair that you attempted I it sounds like it would be pretty clear to a reasonable person that you attempted to repair it, and not alter/modify it.
The WizKids return process does work, although its a far cry from the customer service standard Paizo has set for their products. Basically just be prepared to:
1. Pay the cost of shipping
2. Wait a couple months
The process does work, and given the aftermarket cost of your mini, I'd say its worth it. You also mentioned you have received other broken minis, so now might be the opportunity to send them all in. (Although if you have any older ones from sets over a year old, you may not get the same mini back, however I have yet to hear of this happening to anyone.)
If it helps, I also created a Broken Mini Replacement Guide.
