I'm unsure where the line is drawn of what is considered a shadow for use of abilities that state if someone is standing in a shadow. Does light need to be present for it to be called a shadow or is the mere absence of light enough for these abilities.
For instance the miss chance a fetchling gets if they are standing in a shadow. Do they get that in complete darkness also?
Also does a darkness spell create shadow or darkness? Since description says a shadowy area but the name is darkness.
I need some form of clarifications. If there is a specific rule I'm missing please point it out. I've dug through all the books many times and can't find a clarification on this.
