Boosting Sub-optimal spell saves

Advice

Shadow Lodge

So, I'm playing a rogue/sorcerer with the intent to become an arcane trickster (I am at level 7 now, so I will be going into it next leve). However, the DC for my spells is horridly low. I only have a 13 cha (boosting to 14 next level) and this makes most of my first/second level spells 12 or 13 DC, something most monsters shrug off no problem. For the most part this isn't an issue, as I'm a selective blaster first, rolling to-hits rather than reflex saves, but as I get up in levels, I like to detect thoughts or simple command with SOME possibility of success.

So, is there a way to drastically improve my DCs? What feats should I take from here on out? I am planning on taking intensify spell at 9th or 11th, but other than that, I don't have much of a feat plan. I don't have spell focus or any metamagic feats.

Here is my current build:

Elf Rogue (roof runner) 3/Sorcerer (sanguine bloodline) 4
STR - 14
DEX - 16
CON - 11
INT- 12
WIS - 10
CHA - 13

Feats:
Acrobatic
Extra Traits (Needed Magical knack)
Shingle Runner
Spell Penetration

Rogue Talent: Ninja trick (Wall Climber)

Thanks for any help.

It'll take two levels, but you'll be able to buy two feats then. You could take Spell Focus twice, though I would recommend taking it once, plus Weapon Finesse to beef up that attack bonus. (This is assuming you're going to boost Dexterity rather than Charisma.)

That'll give you +2 to the DC of a single school. Pick whichever school you think suits your character best. The best attacks spells for a spellthief cover multiple schools, from Grease (Conjuration) to Detect Thoughts (I think this is Divination).

And of course, you'll eventually want a headband of Charisma.

You need to worry less about spell DCs and just being able to cast spells at all. You're capped at 3rd levels right now (since you need 10+spell level in your casting stat to cast at all).

But I have to be honest, here--I have no clue what you're doing with this character. It looks like you're using a 15 point buy, but for some reason, you have 14 Strength? Higher than your casting stat?

And two of your feats--Acrobatic and Shingle Runner--are basically worthless. You'd be much better off with Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot (assuming you're going with lots of rays) or something to help you sneak attack more, etc.

I don't know, I don't get it, so my advice might not be worth anything to you anyway.

The other thing is to keep in mind that saving throws aren't so important for spells that either boost you, or else don't have a save at all. And targeting spells against a foes weakest save can be very effective.

Part of the reason is that our points were rolled and assigned randomly, so that there were no huge spikes or dips. I got lucky that I had a charisma bonus at all! I'm essentially done with the first half of my character, which was being able to get anywhere, which, in this campaign, has proved very useful so far, as I have a +19 to acrobatics and a +20 to climb, which I can always take a 10 on.

Now I'm trying to focus a bit on blasting, and being able to actually hit someone with a mind-affecting spell every once in a while. I'm putting all my stat bonuses into charisma, and plan on getting a headband. As well we are also using mythic power playtest, so I intend to put a +2 into my casting stat as well.

We don't get into combat a ton, so being able to use those mind-effecting utility spells has come up quite a bit. Though I do understand some of the stuff I take is less than fantastic.
