I will be starting a kingmaker campaign soon. One of the players is playing a (half) Ifirt. He is a fighter in a family of magic users. For a lack of better words his human parents liked to swing with the fey. It is rumored that his father has some nymph daughters in the woodlands.
I was drawn to kingmaker because of sandbox style and I want the players to be the focus of the story. With that said I would like to hear suggestions to tie this background to the kingmaker plot.
The player does know that Ifrit are related to fire elementals, not the fey, correct? Or are these different branches of the family tree?
You could have Tiressia from book 2 be a cousin or something I suppose, there's plenty of fey to work with. Just make sure you don't tip your hand too much for book six.
No reason you couldn't adjust things a bit to make it work. Perhaps his parents liked to swing with only the hottest of the fey?
