Selling an Enhancement

I assume the answer to this is "no", and I've asked others who agree with that assumption, but I thought I might give it a shot asking the community at large.

Is it possible in PFS to "sell" or otherwise remove and item enhancement?

Not as I understand it.

Once you spend money to enhance an item (such as, for example, enhancing a +1 longsword to a +1 frost longsword), there's no way to back out the additional enhancement. You can't "sell back" the frost enhancement, returning it to a "vanilla" +1 weapon. You're stuck with either (a) adding additional enhancements on top of what's already on the weapon (and, yes, having to deal with the higher cost of adding those enhancements), or (b) selling the entire item at 50% of cost, and starting over.

This is worth an official ruling; there's nothing in the PFS 4.3 guide that talks about selling enhancements to weapons and armour - only buying.

Unless someone can refer to a post where an official ruling has already been made?

There's no rules in the Core Rulebook for selling back enhancements. Therefore, it is not possible under the core rules and there is no option to do so in PFS play.
