Damn, not even halfway there yet then. I knew we should have played up yesterday despite the fact it was a Season 4 scenario.
Oh, and one other thing. Assuming my Str bonus is +2, what bonuses would that bow give me to hit and damage?
Total of +3 to hit and damage. One being the +1 of the weapon, the other two being your +2 str.

This is not really correct - your to-hit depends on your Dex not your Str.
Say you have a +1 composite longbow with a strength rating of 2:
- your attack bonus is BAB + Dex + 1 (because the bow has a +1 bonus)
- your damage is 1d8 + 2 (assuming you have at least 14 Str) + 1 (because the bow has a +1 bonus)
An adaptive bow, of course, doesn't need a strength rating, it automatically adjusts. If your Str suddenly increases, so does your damage - but your to-hit doesn't increase unless your Dex goes up.

Well right now I have a composite longbow (Str +2) and 14 str. Should I be doing 1d8 + 3 dmg with it?
Also, my Dex is 16. Should my to hit be: BAB (0 as a level 1 Inq) + 3 (Dex) + 1 (bow bonus) + 1 (Point Blank Shot if <= 30 ft)?
Your bow is non-magical, correct? If so:
to-hit = 0 (BAB) + 3 (Dex) + 1 (Point-Blank Shot if <= 30 ft) = 3 or 4
damage = 1d8 + 2 (Str) + 1 (Point-Blank Shot if <= 30 ft) = 1d8 + 2 or 3
If you had a +1 bow, add 1 to each of those values.

Ok, I wasn't sure if the Str +2 characteristic of the bow needed a magical bow as the base for it.
This is my first PFRPG character and I've changed my mind about what I wanted to do so many times I've confused myself.
The good news is this is a PFS character and the scenario I played yesterday put me at level 2, so once I play another scenario my choices are locked in for this character.
I can say that I had a blast yesterday as an archer Inquisitor. We had a 7 person group playing 1-2 in a season 4 scenario and I was the only level 1 and I made a decent contribution to the group.

A composite bow does not need to be magical to have a strength rating. The notation is rather confusing, because often composite bows are denoted as "composite bow +2" or something, where the +2 is a strength rating and NOT an enhancement bonus. This leads to weird things like "a +1 composite longbow +2"... so in general, just avoid calling referring to a strength rating as "plus" anything.
Less confusing:
+1 composite longbow strength 2
More confusing:
+1 composite longbow +2

I write it on my character sheet as: Composite Longbow (Str +2), I just forgot to ask my friend who recommended it to me whether it was already a +1 or not.
I think I'm going to save up gold for the Adaptive Composite Longbow. As a fresh level 2 I've got 16 HP, 19 AC, +8 Initiative, +5 to hit (or more depending on range), do 1d8 +2 damage (or more depending on range), and I've got a wand of CLW with only 2 charges missing. Oh and my saves are +4/+3/+6 or something like that.
I was looking through the UE guide earlier and didn't see anything I can afford that seemed like it would give me a big boost. I do have access to a Cloak of Resistance +1, but I think my saving throws are good enough for now that I can save up for the new bow.
I just need to decide what new orison and 1st–level spell to get before my next session.
Oh, this is the OP by the way. I finally changed my alias to the character's name. Yeah, kind of cheesy to name an Inquisitor after one of the grand inquisitors from the Spanish Inquisition, but I don't know enough about the game world to come up with an appropriate non-cheesy name.
