I know we have regional captains, what about online?

I play a fair bit online, and there's one guy I'd nominate for sure.

Except since I'm not one, I'm not familiar with what all being a VC/VL entails and if it's appropriate for online stuff.

(Btw Jesse/Ironhelixx, I'm looking at you!)

We do not. See previous threads on this topic:

Thanks for digging those threads up for me, I'll check them out.

But it's a bit of a shame, given the online world we all live in. Online gaming is the only way many of us can play, so having official Paizo representation in there would be IMO a great idea... but I'll look at those threads before commenting further.

Okay, 1st thread wasn't very informative, but the second one was.

Makes me think that 1st, if there isn't one already, Paizo may want to designate one of their employees as the Online gaming advocate/organizer. Somebody who gets to know all the outlets for online gaming, and checks in the make sure things are going reasonably well. I understand that nowadays there are even online gaming conventions!

And while I now understand that part of the job of a VC is to interact with local game shops, another very important part of the job of a VC is be be an advocate and recruiter. And if this role can't be filled online by a VC, again, this is something a Paizo employee could/should be doing. Finding pathfinders online and getting them together to play (penandpaper.com, nearbygamers, etc.)

Still think the notion has merit, somewhere.
