If a creature has SR do you have to bypass the SR to cast a targeted Dispell Magic on a magic item it is carrying?

I don't think so. Not sure. Can't find any specific rules.

Check the "Spell Resistance" entry for the spell. Anything with "No" doesn't care about SR.

Dispel Magic is "Spell Resistance: No"
