source: Meteorite impacts over Siberia
So the Asteroid isn't going to hit us (if NASA is telling the truth). There is however a debris field ahead (and likely behind) of the Asteroid which has hit in Siberia. So as the earth turns through this debris field it is going to leave a trail of impacts across the earth, but it will also cause some asteroid fragments to come very close - to the point where some will achieve orbit, and others will slingshot out in a fan like spray that will open the opportunity for strikes on the Lunar Surface. This will be awesome as long as you are not some shmo in an impact area.

The asteroid explosion over the Urals today (not Siberia, though not far from its western edge) is apparently unrelated to the asteroid near-miss later on today. The two rocks were approaching from different directions (the one this morning was over the northern hemisphere, the one tonight will be over the southern). Apparently the two events just coincidentally happened today.
