I find this archetype interesting, and with the human feat Racial Heritage, I can finally have a more magical/UMD focused rogue, just like i have always wanted. At will detect magic is nice, Im seeing a lot of potential for some sort of tomb raider.
Anyway, i am looking at the magical talents: Major Magic (1st level spell), Minor Eldritch Magic (2nd level spell) and Major Eldritch Magic (3rd level spell).
1.)What would be the best spells to pick here?
2.) Are there any feats that get me more uses/day?
3.) I like the bonus to UMD, any particular scrolls/wands/items I should acquire?
Thanks in advance!

Doesn't quite work that way. You have to be lvl 10 to get advanced talents. And you have to take minor magic befor you take major magic. So the soonest you can take them all is lvl 11 if you use a feat @11 to take major eldrich magic.
Best bet if you are sure this is what you want to do is:
0- acid splash
1- grease
2- invisibility
3- haste
That said, please don't do this... It's a trap! Rogues take serious optimizing to be on par with everyone else. If you want magic and stealth, play a bard (magician). If its the sneak attack and spells you want, play a vivisectionist alchemist.
I love rogues, don't get me wrong. And they are much better than they were in 3.5, but this is not a great way to spend your talents. Please tell me a bit more about your build, just in case there is an angle I am missing.

Im aware that the soonest i could get it is at level 11... I don't think I ever said otherwise? I merely had a question concerning these talents collectively.
I don't need to be on par with everyone else; I am by far the most experienced player at my table, and myself and another player will be sharing GM duties, swapping every other session. I wrote the campaign, he wants practice being GM.
While we GM, our characters will be relegated to GMPC roles. I am not planning on a heavy combat role.
For early level talents, i planned on perhaps Surprise Attack, Fast Stealth, and Offensive Defense.
Feat wise... possibly Dervish Dance scimitar build. Otherwise a Finesse and buckler type.
I also plan on maxing out UMD, and lending support that way. Basically, going for a utility/support rogue.

Sorry, I though you were going for major eldrich by lvl 3. Lol, you can imagine my chagrin. I think there might be a monster feat that lets you get an extra use out of your SLAs. Also, I think you can get a sneak attack from concealment with the blur spell. I would skip dervish, and use a rapier/ buckler combo, and hold a wand of blur. Make your weapon agile of course. The crane style feats would compliment your style, I believe.
Does that help?
