First level Diviner additional spell slot

Making a diviner and need a spell for my additional spell slot. I was planing of focusing more or control and I don't plan on using any ranged touch spells currently.

spells I have to choose from are:

Anticipate Peril
Comprehend Languages
Cultural Adaptation
Detect Charm
Detect Secret Doors
Detect Undead
Identify
See Alignment
True Strike


Depends on the specifics of the campaign you are in. If this were the kind of campaign I run, I would suggest comprehend languages or identify if you have a poor spellcraft skill.

Edit: If you are first level, you can (probably) ignore identify even with a bad spellcraft bonus.


Comprehend Languages would be best, IMHO.


Spellcraft is currently at 10. I was hoping for something that would help during an encounter but I don't think I would use True Strike ever.

I like Comprehend Languages just because my players always have to spend a night somewhere because they never have it memorized.
