Shipping costs to Canada on some items

Hello;

I was wondering why on some items there is no choice in shipping types to Canada? For example I was considering ordering the collector's edition version of Rise of the Runelords, which is $200 but the shipping was $45 on top! Same with the Rappan Athuk hard cover from frog lord games in your store. Granted, this is 3-5 day shipping but why is there no option for slower (and thus cheaper) shipping?

Looking at an adventure module, an adventure path for example, there's three options to shipping, 10-14 day $6, 7-10 day $15, and 3-5 day $32.

Its because of the weight and/or size of those products. There are certain dimensions that the USPS will ship international at the slower rates - I believe both the collector's edition and Rappon Athuk weigh close to a pound over the limit once you factor in packing supplies ( I want to say the limit is 4 pounds, but that's from memory so I may be wrong). I'm sure a customer service person will give you a more complete answer when they get to this post

The Captain is correct. The slower international mail rate has size and weight limits that come into play with these two books. Because of their weight we can't ship them anything but USPS International Priority.
