Oh my, a Kraken - that looks lovely. This should be an interesting KS, and hopefully a successful one.

So we are starting with the Kraken. Interesting choice. Plus the "add-on" items. Nice begining.

Looking forward to the March opening bell. ;-)

It might actually give me some time to save money after, Gnomish Adventures, Torn World & the Kingdom Death pledge manager.

I'm not super wild about the kraken, but I'll be there anyway. I want to see this thing through to the finish line.

I did get the current DCMs that I wanted. The ants, dogs, and villagers are all excellent!

I was a backer for the first two failed KS attempts. Right now, I doubt that I will be a backer of this attempt. I backed because I want prepainted plastic miniatures. A prepainted Kraken might tempt me. Guess I will have to watch and see what happens, but right now, the way this Kickstarter is structured, I will be sitting out. Which is really sad, because I have bought all of their previous prepainted miniatures and use them often. Oh well, as I said, guess we will have to wait and see. But I don't need more unpainted miniatures.

Hey Lisa, then definitely keep an eye on it. :)

Between each goal we will have a "sub-goal" where we raise funds to get the sculpts made pre-painted. It won't be a long wait at all for the Kraken to be in full colour.

Also, we're teaming up with Blackbyrne to get a Pathfinder adventure made to compliment this KS, which we're very excited about. :)

The latest and greatest news - 1st draft sculpt!

Dungeon Crawler Forum

Posted the final sculpt for the Kraken!

And we've introduced our first Sculpt Stretch Goal (we're alternating paint Stretch Goals between each sculpt), and it's a giant skeleton warrior.

RPG details for the campaign posted today, it involves Pathfinder formatting.

New KS preview reveals something that should fly and something firmly latched to the ground!

Combat and feathers

Pretty quiet on these threads lately - okay, the Combat Clips didn't excite you, how about a new sculpt preview?

Latest KS news; info for some special loyal people, dragging in others kicking and starting, and another first draft sculpt! First Draft Peryton and Some Perks

Apologies, yep the combat clips look interesting and potentially very useful. Whilst the models look really nice, I'll be backing, depending upon the price point and which other KS's I'm following.

1 week until we launch, decided to have 2 reveals and talk a little about discounts.

4th sculpt and surprise

2nd to last KS update! Last one is later today.

Pledge early, pledge often!

How much of a reduction in RRP are the Add-On's?

I'm back and forth on whether I'll be supporting this KS. On the one hand, I've been wanting a decent kraken mini for a long time, and I think that your sculpt is pretty sweet. On the other hand, I've never (in 20+ years of gaming) successfully run a game to a level where a kraken would be a level-appropriate challenge, and while I'd like to do so, I doubt that I'll manage to do it more than once or twice. $60 is a not-insignificant cost for a single mini, so I'd want to get a lot of use out of it, but assuming that I do manage to run a few games at that level, I don't want to get pegged as the guy who uses a kraken as the BBEG for every single campaign that he runs.

But, once again, I'm drawn to what a sweet sculpt you've got there. I'll probably check in on this KS as it approaches the deadline and see if any of the expanded options tickle my fancy.

Cool. You could share it with your GM friends too, maybe rent it out when it's not on the Mantle. ;)

Not sure how to answer your RRP question (I answered below assuming this is the same as MSRP).

There are no discounts except the flat rate shipping, we are fund raising, not pre-selling our product. It is probably cheaper to buy the existing minis or card game at paizo or auggies online game stores.

Bonuses that we're offering are directly related to the campaign, the PDF will not be for sale through us, it'll be done through Blackbyrne Publishing.

Hope that this answered your question.

Best, Jey.

This Kraken is a perfect fit with the upcoming Skull & Shackles set. It looks like the KS is well along its way to offering a prepainted version. Colossal sized miniatures are hard to come by. This is a great KS. I am all in.

While I don't see this figure seeing alot of table time, I don't care. I bought the WotC colossal red dragon knowing the same thing. It is just a fun mini to own and for the one or two times it does come out, it is a great battle.

I am glad to see the kickstarter has almost hit goal on the first day. Greyhaze deserves this one to make it. I am also showing it to friends. I want it to get to PPM so I can put it out the day it arrives.

Anyway, I say buy it and enjoy owning it. :-)

Funded! Now on to the stretch goals!

The giant skeleton looks fantastic.

FUNDED in less than 24hrs!!!

Thank you all. :)

The Kraken, is totally a show piece, I also have the Garg and Colossal Dragons - haven't used even 1 of them yet. ;)

Hey Lisa, we're really close to the pre-painted Kraken, care to put us over the top?

This Kraken is awesome! I will definitly use it within the skull&shackles campaign against lazy pirate PC's!!
With the extra big tentacles it will be a thrilling battle.
Though I'm not sure if it fits on the Flip-mat... ;-)

Greyhaze, if you could temp Lisa to put your Kraken KS on the Paizo Newsletter...

Thanks! :)
