I guess this thread is the most relevant for my comment. I found it disappointing that the bookplate was placed in such a way as to occlude Wayne Renold's art, when the facing page of advertisement could have held the bookplate. This was a minor disappointment, but I wanted to feedback the feedback.

Sigh. Our intent was that there would be a spot inside the front cover designed so that we could place the bookplate there (but that would also look good if no bookplate were present). However, at some point, somebody realized that a map of the Echo Wood was needed, and slotted that into the inside front cover; unfortunately, nobody twigged to the fact that that decision displaced the bookplate's intended location until after we got the book back from the printer. At that point, the inside back cover was the only real choice, much as we hated making it.
