Half fiend Darkvision vs Infernal Bloodline Darkvision

Rules Questions

I keep noticing that Pathfinder has severely decreased monster abilities as opposed to player abilities. Why is it that half-fiends, my friend is running an evil campaign with a focus on playing non-human races, cannot see through "magical darkness" by a sorcerer with the infernal bloodline can see through darkness from ANY source, which would include "magical darkness?" Can anyone explain this to me?

Because one is a lvl 20 ability (some call it a capstone) and the other is just a inherent property of race...

You could also allow this feat:

Quote:

Fiend Sight
Your eyes develop keener sight in dim light and darkness.
Prerequisites: Darkvision 60 ft., tiefling.
Benefit: You gain low-light vision and your darkvision improves to 120 ft.
Special: You can take this feat twice. When you take it a second time, you gain the see in darkness universal monster ability.
Quote:
See in Darkness (Su) The creature can see perfectly in darkness of any kind, including that created by deeper darkness

Thank you. That is actually very helpful and makes a lot of sense.

And techincally the see darkness ability will do way more, as it's not limited to only a certain range.

Where can I find the Fiend Sight feat? Blood of Fiends?

Ability to see in magical darkness is ability of devils, not all fiends. Half fiend might have nothing in common with devils while infernal bloodline specifically draws its power from devilish blood.

(and as was already pointed out, infernal bloodline see in darkness ability is part of 20th level bloodline power).
