Urban campaigns with a Demonic focus?

Advice

Or Devilish or Daemonic really.

I'm starting a 1 on 1 campaign with my little brother, who wants to get into Pathfinder, and I'm trying to ease him into it by using a custom setting that he's more used to, namely the folder of interconnected "shows" he has, the characters he's made up, and incorporate the continuity of those plotlines somewhat (which are surprisingly complex considering he started making them when he was about 6).

So besides the effort of incorporating 8 years of plot and an ongoing universe, I would like to create an interesting story for him that fits with his world, and I can do that, but I simply do not have the time right now to incorporate the lore AND make up an entire campaign, encounters and all, completely from scratch. Not if we want to start playing any time soon, anyway.

So what I would like is any campaigns, or parts of campaigns that have a strong Evil outsider focus, preferably in an urban setting so there aren't any possible alternate terrain shenannery going on, so that it fits with the main character of one of the show's usual job (Best way to put it is he's kind of like Yusuke Yurameshi but he's a werewolf). I have most Pathfinder APs and some of the oneshot modules and such, but I haven't read through all of them. I believe Curse of the Crimson Throne has this focus (right?) but other than that I've no idea.

I'd be grateful for any help you could give me here. I think I've got my work cut out for me just trying to make sure the character has most of his abilities intact at the start of the game (definitely going to need to bump the challenge a good bit).

Not the Curse of the Crimson Throne, but the Council of Thieves Adventure Path should cover what your looking for I believe.

I'm playing Crimson throne right now. Cheliax is Devil-y, but I'm just starting the third magazine of CotCT with no Devils yet. I'd see if Cheliax is in any of your modules.

If not, there may be some devil/demon/daemon hijinks in Ustalav. If you know old 3.X and earlier settings, Ustalav is pretty much the Ravenloft of Golarion.

Council of Thieves is what you seek.

Ah, Council of Thieves I need to look into then.

As for Ustalav, the only one I know of that takes place there is Carrion Crown (which I'm running for another group ATM), and it's very demon-lite. There are a few Evil outsiders as encounters but they're not at all the focus. I had jumped to that one first to be sure I hadn't missed anything on my first glance, and while there are a lot of Demonic CULTS there just weren't enough actual Demons to satisfy the requirements. I may use portions of Wake the Watcher though, I think he'd like that.

If there's another I overlooked I'm all ears though.

Echoing Council of Thieves. It's pretty much perfect for you, and if his character has some cohorts, or he is willing to play multiple characters, you might be able to take him through some of the adventure without changing much at all.

Council of Thieves as the baseline it is then.

And I'd at least have to change the power level, depending. I'm debating on whether or not to start him at level 5 or even 10 so that I don't have to contrive some reason why his character has lost the majority of his powers temporarily, and then just boosting the power of monsters to compensate. I'll be throwing a GMPC in there of one of the characters I used to play around with years back that he says still exists in the world (and who pops up regularly still) so that should be hella fun.

I'm going to end up building a class from scratch for both of them though, but I expected that getting into this. Something I was planning on trying out anyway, I always wanted to see what could be done with an RPG that has free-form class feature selection not dissimilar to the Race Builder but for classes.

The more I think about this the more excited I get.

I would go through some of the encounters of Council of Thieves, and see what monsters can be replaced with equivalent CR Demons or other evil outsiders.

Yeah gonna have to bump the challenge up quite a bit, but it should be quite fun. From my read through Part 1 I think I could easily morph most of the encounters into "Demonic" (actually Devilish, his Demons are much more like Devils) and such encounters (Goblins turn into higher level Imps, Hellknights turn into Hamatulas, and so on).

I was finally able to build the guy, with a little Race Builder fudging, and got most of his powers ready. He ended up with Favored Enemy (Evil Outsider and Undead), Favored Terrain (Urban and "Demon World" since there's no distinction between the evil aligned Planes), and a Ranger's Saves/BaB, but a Fighter's Bonus Feats, two Rage Powers (and his werewolf transformation works like Rage with the upsides and drawbacks but unlimited rounds), a Ki pool and 3 Ninja Tricks ( as well as Light Steps, and a very limited list of spells as SLAs: Flame Blade at will (but it's not a touch attack and all the extra damage is still slashing), Scorching Ray and Fiery Shurikens at will, Dimension Door 3/day, Lightning Arc 2/day (after 2 uses he becomes Fatigued) and Disintegrate, Finger of Death, and Wail of the Banshee 1/day (after use he becomes exhausted and falls unconscious for 2 rounds respectively).

Seems like he could be fun. Probably going to be a bit more powerful than a usual 10th level character maybe, but I think the fact that it's just going to be him and one other guy will balance that out.
