So I've built a Gnome for a new Rise of the Runelords campaign and am thinking about giving him the Pyromaniac alternative racial trait (replacing Gnome Magic and Illusion Resistance). One small thing puzzles me however - does the Pyromaniac bonus to effective caster level when casting spells of the Fire type function when using the once per day Produce Flames ability also granted by Pyromaniac?
(I think it probably does - but not sure if using a spell-like ability is the same as 'casting a spell')
As others have noted most likely this should also apply to Fire elemental school Wizards (This is a for a home game not a pure PFS game so I'll aski my Dm about that wrinkle.
