A question of Feats: Piranha Strike

Advice

This is going to sound retarded; frankly, I'm used to that. And I can't find the original thread I posted this question in...

But, does Piranha Strike replace Power Attack for such feats as Cleave and the like? Since, in reality; I'd like to be able to not have to worry about not using Power Attack Right- if I can use Piranha Strike in it's stead.

Curious; due to- well, Monk.

And this isn't an issue of 'Strength' it's an issue of my Monk using his fists rather than weapons. He has 18str, and I'm not sure if Power Attack is really useful for his 'light weapons' that we call his fists.

Power Attack works absolutely fine with light weapons.

Piranha Strike does not count as Power Attack for any feats or abilities.

The only advantage of PS over PA is the prerequisites are different and they are driven by 2 different stats. So with a STR of 18 it doesn't matter with fists on a monk.

The monk has no "off hand attack", it's all primary.

Awesome, alrighty then. Thanks for the information!

However, you may wish to do your math: for anything above appalling AC (and with a monk's to hit score, few ACs can be considered appalling) using Power Attack is likely to lose you more than you gain in terms of DPR - what you gain in damage you lose out in number of hits.
