Not new to PFS, new to PbP. I'm considering "attending" a Play-by-Post PFS scenario or two but would like to know what I should expect. By "what I should expect" I mean I would like to know about how much time per day I can expect to be, well, expected to play. I have no problem dedicating a few hours (real time) daily to being near my computer, but for some scenarios, I'm sure that some parts would have to take a backseat to RL stuff (kids, work, you know...RL stuff).
Also, how to prove ownership of additional sources and chronicle sheets?
Caveat to Paizo web team: I may be on the opposite side of the "LFG" fence posting this here. If I am, please feel free to move me!

Welcome aboard the PbP PFS train.
Most of your questions are GM personal preference. A majority of GMs would like to see somebody post at least once a day. That way the board as a good amount of flow. Nothing kills a game faster then sluggish posting. Remember, this is Play by Post, not a set session like chat based or Skype based game.
Ownership of AR & chronicle sheets: that is again, dependent on the GM. Some may ask for a scanned copy to some people don't care (like me).
I would jump in one to see how you feel with it. I have noticed some people who jump into every game that comes up. That person then gets burned out and leaves all those games. Flaky behavior will follow your name around.
Remember, once a PC is in a PbP game, you cannot play that character in another game. That PC is pretty much frozen in time until the scenario is over.
Also, don't be afraid to audit the GM. Check to see if they have ran PbP games before. Did he finish said game? Do you like the style of how he GM's the game, etc, etc.
Again, welcome.

Thanks, Nebten. If a post per day is reasonable, approximately how long does it (on rough average) take to finish a scenario? Long enough that I should set a character aside and not make plans with him until it's done? I'd hate to be the impatient player who tries to hurry everybody else's life along so I can roll for initiative or whatever, but I would like a typical 2-5 round combat to take no more than a couple of days.
Just trying to get a feel for what to expect, by the way. If a typical combat taking a week is kind of normal, so be it; I'd just like to know going in.
Thanks, again.

Again, look at the GM's previous games. Does his game go long or does he drag the party by the nose one encounter after another?
You can double check other PFS games out there, but 6 weeks to 3 months would be a fair average.
Typically, in the beginning, posts come in fast and furious because everybody is amped in playing. Then sometimes there is a lull for one reason or another. Usually a combat will kickstart people into posting at a higher frequency.

Here is what I think is a fairly typical example that I was in.
DM Helaman's Master of the Fallen Fortress
This was a first level PFS PbP.
The final encounter was 5 days.
Total scenario went from 08 Nov 2012 to 09 Feb 2013. The GM noted that he had some work issues come up about 2/3 of the way through so things slowed down some after the new year.
