Illusions: Silent Image limitations?

Rules Questions

-area
First thing I am wanting to know is the area affected by this spell. The equation for this area is four 10-ft. cubes + one 10-ft. cube/level. Am I to assume that this is a 10-ft. cube as in 10 cubic feet or a cube that is 10 ft. by 10 ft. by 10 ft? What ever the case I would assume that i can effect 4 of these 10 ft. cubes plus one for every caster level, as in not 50-ft. cube at the first level, but 5->10-ft. cubes.

-actions
Is it correct that from one turn to another turn i can move the objects around in this area? Also I would think that I am able to do things like make pits and traps look like they are not there.

-destroying the illusion?
If some one attacks an illusion does that act, assuming it hits, destroy or give +4 will save bonus to allies? Am to understand that if someone makes the save even if a new illusion is created within the area they simply don't see/believe it.

-Illusion cover?
If someone hides behind a created illusion and that same square is attack do they gain any defensive bonuses, like cover?

Yes, you will have five 10-foot cubes which you can shape anyway you like (provided they are contiguous). Therefore you could create an illusion of a man walking down a 10x10x50-foot hallway.

As long as you maintain concentration, you can control/manipulate the illusion however you like. Figments cannot make something look like something else, however. You could conceal an existing pit with detritus or something similar, but you could not create the illusion of a pit where there was none.

You have the option to make the illusion react to the attack, such as having a warrior dodge or get stabbed by a sword, or a monster catch on fire and burn when hit by a fireball.

Illusions are not physically present and therefore cannot grant cover or break line of effect. They can, however, grant concealment and break line of sight.
