Bastards of Erebus: Finding the right tone for the AP

I am looking to run this AP, after I finish up my RotRL. … unless people can point me at a “better” urban themed campaign …

But I am looking at a small problem. Janiven’s speech, the Hellknight raid, the flight through the sewers, and finally the rescue of Ariel all set up the AP for a “La Résistance française” type campaign against the Hellknights and the Church of Asmodeus..

But that not what the campaign is about at all.

So, I was wondering if people know of a Lvl1 adventure that would do the job of pulling the party together and allowing the campaign to continue from that point with a better sense of what the heroes supposed to be all about.

Note: My group has played Curse of the Crimson Throne, so that is not an option.

Mad God's Key would work, from Dragon magazine. Move it to Golarion, and you could be there.

You can also start 'in media res', in the sewers, and then flashback to the earlier bit.

I've also heard of people using the Paizo hangman's noose adventure. That could also go well.
