I am unsure of which path would be better...
& I also am unsure of what other feats to take or what order to take them.
We are starting at Level 7.
I normally go from Level 1 and play them up. Rarely I will jump from Levels 2, 3, or 4. I am unsure of what to take...
I know we are going to need Survivability.
Would it be better to go Switch Hitter? If I do go Switcher what would be a nice way to go about it?
Maybe I should play an Oracle, Paladin, Sorcerer, or Rogue...

We have a Wizard(Conjurer), Trophy Ranger, Barbarian/Rogue(Acrobat)/ Shadow Dancer, and maybe a Monk/Paladin/[some Prestige Class].
I am thinking of being a Striker so I am leaning toward going a Switch Hitter Standard Fighter who can switch between a variety of weapon choices.
Like a Bastard Sword alone, Bastard Sword/Shield, & Comp. Longbow.

Looking at the party, what you really need is a bard. You can still play a striker that uses a scimitar if you start by dipping fighter:
strength 8, dexterity 18, constitution 14, intelligence 8, wisdom 9, charisma 16
1 (Fighter): Weapon Finesse, Power Attack, Toughness
3: Dervish Dance
5: Weapon Focus (scimitar)
7: Improved Initiative
At 8th level, you'll be casting Haste, Good Hope, and inspiring courage +2 to make the party love you, and then dealing out a hefty dose of damage yourself!

Sorry forgot to state that we have all Paizo(my preference) content from d20pfsrd.
If I am going Bard I would just take the Scimitar using Archetype. But the problem we are going to have is that most likely to easily take down the Colossi we will need to climb and that could get them out of range of the Performance quickly. Plus I like simple Math. One reason I shudder whenever I play a Bard or am Partying with a Bard.
But I will look at building a Scimitar Bard... & how are you getting Power Attack?
Edit: If I go Caster I will probably go Oracle of Wind.

Good point on Power Attack, I always forget about the strength prereq.
The reason I recommended against taking the dervish archetypes was because the performance only affects yourself. But if you can deal with losing the ability to have it help your buddies, Dawnflower Dervish is a great archetype. Then you don't have to dip fighter, either.
Now I'm thinking a halfling would be best. Bonuses to dex and cha give you better stats, and you get a +1 size modifier to hit. Considering the campaign, you'll want the Underfoot and Low Blow racial traits, which give you +1 AC and +1 on crit confirmation vs larger creatures.
strength 8, dexterity 18, constitution 12, intelligence 10, wisdom 10, charisma 16
1: Toughness
3: Weapon Focus (scimitar)
5: Dodge
7: Improved Initiative
9: Lucky Halfling
11: Discordant Voice

Actually I think you still get the area affect on one of them.
But I am thinking of going Shortspear with a Blinkback Belt or Belt of Mighty Hurling. Would a Blinkback Belt work on Javelins?
If I go Fighter: Power Attack & Deadly Aim is probably a given. What of Weapon Focus and such? I am thinking of building up someone who fires arrows or throws a Spear/Javelin at range then when close enough climbs up the target to get to their weak spot to attack with his blade. I am thinking Vital Strike would also be good.
