Aasimar Oracle Favored Class Option

The Advanced Race Guide says an aasimar who chooses oracle as her favored class receives the following: "Add +1/2 to the oracle’s level for the purpose of determining the effects of one revelation." I have a couple questions about this.

1.) It specifically states "one revelation." Does the player need to choose a single revelation to apply the bonus to?

2.) When the player chooses oracle as her favored class and she levels up in oracle, does this mean she may take this ability instead of getting an extra hit point or skill point? How does that work? The player would need to take this ability twice to get a +1. May he choose a different revelation each time, taking it twice for one revelation for a +1 and taking it two more times for another revelation for a +1 in that one as well?

1) Yes she need to choose one the bonus applies to.

2) Racial favored class bonusses are taken instead of the hp or skill rank.
2b) As you mention it need to be taken twice for any effect. Severel racial favored class bonuses grants fragment of an bonus, down to 1/6.
2c) AFAIK, there is nothing stopping the aasimar from putting points into different revelations, if she so chooses.

Harald pretty much covered it.

Note that even though it's only one specific revelation, there are still some quite powerful tricks you could pull off with it. It's probably best to focus it on one revelation on all level-ups, to maximize it's benefit as much as possible.

Fun candidates include Channel from Life Mystery (channel like a 15th level cleric at level 10!) and Many Forms from Dark Tapestry mystery. The various armor powers could also work pretty well - for a long duration campaign, anything that technically keeps scaling past 20th level is nice.
