Class level

Rules Questions

"Deep Pockets (Ex): A Pathfinder chronicler collects items as well as lore, picking up small amounts of this or that throughout her travels. As a result, she may carry unspecified equipment worth up to 100 gp per class level. "

Does this mean a Bard 10 PfC1 can do 100 or 1100gps?

And how powerful/worthwhile is this PrC?

Shadow Lodge

Class level indicates the level of the class the ability is for. In this case Pathfinder Chronicler. In your example it would be 100 gp.

As to your other question, I've never seen one played so I can't answer it.

Scarab Sages

100. Class level in the context given refers specifically to the class granting the power. As to the usefulness of the PrC, your mileage may vary depending on the campaign you happen to be participating in. You don't get a lot of power, but there's some fun utility.

I played a character who had a few levels in Pathfinder Chronicler. That single ability is the most fun ability ever made. I used it to (cleverly) solve puzzles our GM threw at us, I helped save the day many a time by producing items worth only a few copper from my pack! It's so much fun! It totally fit my character too!Even though he wasn't a bard class-wise he was the person writing a book about the group's adventures... with some embellishment. He also was lugging around a large amount of random items my little goblin kept picking up off enemies (shocker lizard horns, the claw of a giant crab, etc).
