How about one post retirement adventure?

Sovereign Court 5/5

I was looking at the list of lvl 12+ characters and it reminded me that my retired character Seeker Egger is now at 13.2 with no chance of ever getting to an even level. I know that at the largest conventions the specials are played at 12+ level but even though I participate at the local cons I'll probably never get to one the major cons that could support a table of 12+. So what do the rest of you think; maybe just one adventure for our retired pathfinders?

This has been discussed before and unfortunately, the hammer always comes down on the side of 'no' for several reasons. Not the least of which is the lack of interest. A majority of reported scenarios occur in the 1-5 or 1-7 range. The current retirement arc (Eyes of the Ten) is the least played game out there (Mike has stated so before, I believe). Also, scenario writing for level 11+ is more resource intensive than doing more level 1-5 games. Eyes of the Ten is a great example of that. There's just more going on because the players are capable of more.

That said, current post 12 play options for players are all of the legally sanctioned Pathfinder Modules. You can find a list of them here. Hope this helps!

I know they aren't actual Society adventures, but don't forget about the sanctioned modules. I know there was a post on here awhile back about the path to get to about level 18 using modules. I'll see if I can dig it up and link to it.

As for having more 12+ official scenarios, I'm good with having Eyes of the Ten and the occasional Convention Special. It gives those that truly want to play their character another option and not just be limited to modules.

EDIT: dang you and your ninja Walter

Some events such as the Grand Convocation which are run at conventions are open for characters above 12th level and provide 1xp... you are not stuck at an odd level. (I beleive Race for the Rune Carved Key is another such event)

Dark Archive

Also, they just sanctioned parts of two adventure paths. That provides a large number of new options for playing above level 12.

A lot of conventions are running Race for the Runecarved Key this year. Presumably next year's special will support Tier 12+ as well. The only requirement for running it is at least 4 tables. The "tier support" for these special scenarios is not determined by the convention organizer but rather by the levels of the participants. So if you get a group of 12+ characters together (which you'd need for a "post-retirement" scenario anyway) at a small convention that is running RftRK, you will be able to play at 12+.

You want to be sure to sign up beforehand as small cons are probably not expecting to run at that tier and may not have a GM prepped if you just show up with 5 level 13 buddies and say "Let's do this!"
