This is a great hex, but I throw this question out. The levitate portion (3rd lvl) is not right to me. Fly (at 5th lvl) you get 1 minute/lvl in1 minute increments. THE BASE QUESTION IS WHY IS LEVITATE 1/DAY?


While I'm here. Those that be, would ne nice to have mobile version of this.


The Levitation is less powerful in all aspects, not just effect. This is not especially unusual. Many spells, for example, have a low level version with less effect and a short duration followed by a more powerful upgrade later with a longer duration.

I agree to the mobile version that would be awesome.

the levitate once you have fly would be very useful if you had more than one as you could fly and push your levitated companions around.. that is a little too useful in and adventure... though i must say the feather fall at will has come in handy all through my characters career...


Because it's gained at 3rd level, and being able to make melee monsters worthless that early upsets people, so they limited it to 1/day. They could've made it grow in uses w/ level. But, you have flight by then, so I guess they figured no one cared. It's a very very strong hex already, it certainly doesn't need buffing.

Originally, I thought the point of the levitate 1/day was because unlike the flight, you could gift that to someone else. Then the FAQ went and said it also was self-only.


Thank you for noticing that. SELF ONLY, Sorry I forgot to mention that. I thin? An change UB the rules needs to be made. Levitate should be just the same as fly 1min/level 1 minute increments. Do I e-mail someone about a change?
