Bestow Insight - self?

My impression is that the spell is meant to be used on others, to grant them some of the caster's skill. But I can't see anything in the spell write-up that states the caster cannot use it on themself.
Giving yourself an insight bonus from a skill you already have sounds cheesy, but I would not mind giving myself 2 dice to roll for an important skill check.

If it helps don't think of it as *you* giving the insight bonus but the power of the spell.

I see no problem with this spell granting some extra insight to oneself while trying to use a skill.

it would work, but you would be giving up one of the best advantages of the spell (as I see it) which is the ability to use a trained only skill untrained (since you can only enhance skills you already have ranks in).
