When a magic item a crafter is making requires a spell to be known, can they use a magic item that can cast spells (like a scroll, wand, etc) to supplement that requirement?
More importantly, if a magic item takes more than one day to craft, does the creator need to cast the spell every day, or just at the beginning of the crafting, or at the end of the crafting period when you make the check?

I believe you can use scrolls, not sure about wands. If it takes more than one day, you have to have access to the spell each day. If you lack a requirement, except for the requisite item creation feat, you increase the DC by +5 for each missing requirement.
Keep an eye out, as I hear Sean K. Reynolds will be doing an extensive (hopefully) FAQ about magic item creation "soon."
