Hi folks
Ok i don't fully understand how the damage done by a werewolf bite in the bestiary is only 1d6+1, is it because the bite attack has trip and curse of lycanthrope attached to it.
I understand its written as a secondary natural attack which has -5 to hit and you only apply half your strength damage, which for the hybrid form should be +2.
Just want to know if I've missed something in the stat block that would explain it.
Thanks for any help.

I think it's an error. I can't see anything in the description of lycanthropes that suggests their hybrid form has an inferior natural attack - as a secondary attack it should still deal d6+2. I expect that the author took the damage directly from the wolf's bite attack; the wolf has a lower strength than the example werewolf and thus deals less damage. The special effects trip and curse of lycanthropy should not reduce damage.

From the werewolf hybrid entry:
"Melee longsword +6 (1d8+6/19–20), bite +1 (1d6+1 plus trip and curse of lycanthropy)"
Its listed melee attack is assuming it's using BOTH longsword and bite in a full-attack action. When you use natural weapons with a manufactured weapon ina full-attack action, the natural weapons are treated as secondary weapons, thus the -5 penalty to attack and only half Str modifier to damage.
If the werewolf was simply using a bite attack as a standard/attack action, the attack would be:
bite +6 (1d6+6 plus trip and curse of lycanthropy).
Well I think the damage is 1d6+6. I'm not sure if every creature that only has single primary natural attack always gets 1.5xStr modifier or only certain creatures.
