O.K. if we are voting we are one of three types, a judge, a hardcore gamer who loves this stuff, or we have a dog in this race. In any case this is lots of work, maybe the fine folk at Paizo will offer some type of prize or reward to help keep people voting or get some to start. I don't know if they can track my personal tread of bad to good, if you can maybe give a nice freebie to the voters that had most of the top 32 in their top 32. Any other suggestions on haw to make me sit trough weeks more of this.

Even having to trudge through all the entries that just make me wince--I'm actually rather happy to be able to get to do the voting this year.
If nothing else we do get a prize by voting, even with all the evil repeats, we get knowledge--we get to see our competition. And we get to see all of it (save the auto-rejects for rules violations), not just the top 32. It's been said in another thread but I think this experience is definitely going to help a lot of people work on polish and make the contest that much more of a challenge in the future.

I must admit, I spent a fair amount of time voting up until I finally saw my item (though not as much as some folks, though, if some of the numbers I've seen are to be believed), but now I'm taking a break. The voting can be fun; there are some interesting items in there, but it's absolutely exhausting to slog though some of these entries. I actually don't mind the repeats so much, since at least I don't have to read them again; it's the new-and-barely-legible entries that wear me out.

And thank you guys tremendously for doing your part to stick it through. You're helping this contest succeed. And, through it, you're helping this hobby continue to succeed. I think those who have gone the extra mile in enduring the weight of all these item reviews, as well as the repeat items, deserve some recognition.

Neil, I appreciate the sentiment, however my feeling is that in all honesty we are just doing our part, and in a fun way, to help this hobby we all love.
I think the recognition and thanks should go to the Paizo team and all of those associated with making this contest possible.
Thank you all.
P.S. Especially the server and IT guys, as a former IT guy I feel your pain.

Meh. I don't think so; this feels like it falls way short of the kind of effort that goes into, for example, a playtest. But that's just me.
However, like Dudemeister, I'd be interested to know how many votes I've cast in the past week. Feels like thousands. :)
