Dimensional Assault limited movement

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I'm having trouble coming up with many reasons to use dimensional assault over a normal charge. It seems like a waste to take a 3rd level spell that can send you 400+ ft and limit it to normal charging distance.

The charge bonus to hit.

It sure makes difficult terrain and other obstacles (cliffs, walls, other enemies) a complete non-issue.

Nothing quite like teleporting past the wizard's line of bodyguard giants only to smack him right in the face anyways.

Also unless you have more then one standard action you can't DD and attack. Even with dimensional agility. Sure its a far cray from as good as the next step in the chain but that's how it goes.

Oh yeah... Somehow, that slipped my mind. For some reason, I glanced at Dimensional agility and interpreted it as turning dimension door into a move action. Derp

Dimensional Dervish is used to incorporate Dimension Door with a full attack. It allows you to activate Dimension Door as a swift action when you take a full-attack action. Alternatively, if you quicken DD, you can use it freely with just Dimensional Agility to pop and attack.
