No, it would not work on ranged touch attacks. It requires "weapons", and only rays (and alchemist bombs) count as weapons. And only those rays that deal hitpoint damage are affected by the damage bonus.
Incidentally you can also take weapon focus on rays, same weapon specialization etc. (provided you can fulfill the orther prerequisites of the feat).

uhmmm.... you did notice that I said I think and but that might just be a hold over from 3.5 on my part right? indicating that it was personal opinion on my part? and where I would have developed that opinion (in 3.5 where all spells that required an attack roll were treated as 'weapon-like' spells)... No need to try to correct my opinion, it will have no effect, your persuade skill is not high enough.
