Unsanctioned Knowledge: What Spells Would YOU pick?

Advice

I've got a Paladin/Shadowdancer, and who will have a 14 INT after her next item purchase. She'll also have an effective UMD skill of +17.

I'm considering this feat:

Quote:

Prerequisites: Int 13, ability to cast 1st-level paladin spells.

Benefit: Pick one 1st-level spell, one 2nd-level spell, one 3rd-level spell, and one 4th-level spell from the bard, cleric, inquisitor, or oracle spell lists. Add these spells to your paladin spell list as paladin spells of the appropriate level. Once chosen, these spells cannot be changed.

She will probably never be able to cast a 3rd level spell in her adventuring career (she's a PFS character).

She's currently 5th level Paladin, 4th level Shadowdancer. She will probably stick with Paladin for the rest of her PFS career.

So she's got two uses of Shadow Illusion (Silent Image) and one use of Shadow Conjuration per day.

What spells would you recommend for this feat?

One of the obvious ones is Inflict Light Wounds for healing her Shadow companion. Silence is a lovely debuff.

On the other hand, taking Cosmopolitan rather than this feat gets her Use Magic Device up to +20, and Knowledge (planes), plus two more languages known.

9th level character, will be retiring in 3 levels...

Go for cosmopolitan. You'll have a better effect with UMD and wands or scrolls.

couldn't you take the additional traits feat to get dangerously curious + 1 more useful trait? seems better than cosmopolitan, and there are too many languages in pfs to know them all, just buy a wand of comp language.

that would net a +4 to UMD and get another interesting trait, like Lessons of Chaldira, Defensive Strategist, or Armor Expert, or some other skill as a class skill.

She's already got Armor Expert and that's her one Combat trait. She picked up Vagabond Child to get Disable Device as a class skill with a +1 to it (since it's not on the list of skills for either Paladin or Shadowdancer), and that's her Faction trait.

Cosmopolitan gets you two class skills and two new languages. Traits get you +1 to two skills, one of which is a class skill.

She's going to effectively have about 16 more games before she hits the level 12 wall. (She's playing on slow progression.)

I'm looking for fun above all else.

Divine Power and Good Hope. Divine Power by itself makes this feat overpowered.

traits get much more than class skills. just as an example the ones i mentioned:

faith trait
Lessons of Chaldira(Chaldira Zuzaristan):Once per day, when you fail a saving throw, you can reroll the saving throw. You must take the second result even if it is worse.

faith trait
Defensive Strategist (Torag):You are not flat-footed when you are an unaware combatant. This includes a surprise round that you don’t get to act in, and before you get to act at the start of a battle.

race trait (from adopted by dwarves)
Glory of Old (Dwarf):You receive a +1 trait bonus on saving throws against spells, spell-like abilities, and poison.

since they are different types than the ones you have, dangerously curious(magic trait) + any one of the above traits is better than 2 languages and 2 class skills

Silver Crusade RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16

Rather than start my a new thread on this subject, I thought I'd necro one that was only a couple months old.

I'm 10th, almost 11th, with a halfling paladin.

My current thoughts for this feat are:

1) Expeditious Retreat
2) Mirror Image
3) Jester's Jaunt
4) Air Walk

3 of those are mobility spells, and the third is defensive obviously. I just didn't see any need to increase my offense as against a BBEG I can already kick butt, and with 2 clerics in the group, several other reasonable options also seemed superfluous.
