So, if you're hidden, and you are using project image, and you cast a spell out of the project image, are they caught flat-footed, or not? They know where the image is, which is where the spell originate from, but they do not know where YOU are.

Probably you are asking the wrong question Xavier.

I think you want to know if the targets lose their dexterity bonus to AC when attacked by a wizard using projected image (similarly to what happen when attacked by an invisible opponent). Being flat footed is different and happen only during the surprise round or as an effect of very specific abilities.

If that is the question the reply is no. What matter is knowing from where come the attack, not were is the attacker body.
