The question says it all. A Summoner wants to dismiss his Eidolon for a few minutes so he can summon some monsters and have them do stuff (in this case, minesweep for traps). Then he'll resummon the Eidolon. The Eidolon has Mage Armor (from a wand) on it. Assuming it's only gone for a few minutes -- less than the duration of the spell -- does it keep the buff? More generally, do buffs stay on in this situation?
many thanks,
Doug M.

Nothing says that the eidolon loses anything while gone. Nor does anything say anything about the nature of time wherever the eidolon is.
My conclusion is that the spell's duration is unaffected. Anything else would imply that I had knowledge of 'eidilon space'.
This is supported by the fact that eidolons return with the same number of hit points and any negative effects that they had upon them when they were dismissed no matter how long the interval. The only difference is if they were actually destroyed in which case they should come back with half hit points and no lingering effects good or bad - kind of like they've been 'reset'.
