Arcane Trickster + Deeper Darkness = Sneak Attack?

Advice

I was playing around with a Drow Noble Arcane Trickster Build, and want to use their Deeper Darkness to set up more sneak attacks. What is the best way to see in your own magical darkness? Echolocation gives blindsight as a level 5 spell and true seeing gives see in darkness as a level 6 spell. Is there anything more efficient, like a feat, magic item, or lower level spell that I am missing?

Have you considered the Fetchling? They have feats to see in supernatural darkness.

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but if it's normal light, the light type will only be normal darkness, so you should be able to see fine. If you're underground, then yes those spells are most likely your best bet. You said Arcane Trickster, but which arcane class are you drawing spells from?

Well, fetchling loses deeper darkness and would require a rework of the adventure plot.

Its an umbral sorc/ninja build. Very shadowy.

Maybe it's just my bias against all male Drow.

Drow nobles are usually female.
