Mythic hexes / deeds / discoveries / bombs?

Player Feedback

So, as of now, the playtest mostly contains abilities that enhance things that the core classes can do, which is both sensible and expected.

Some of the new bases classes rely to a greater or lesser extent on unique abilities (witch hexes, gunslinger deeds, alchemist discoveries and bombs...) which might need some support in order not to lose relative utility too much. If this cannot be done in Mythic Adventures, then perhaps as web enhancements or the like?

It wouldn't have to be much. Just some path option for each that, say, add your tier to class level for numerical progression, activator level and/or uses, or maybe remove restrictions such as ranges, uses per day and so forth.

Perhaps we can come up with some easy suggestions in this thread?

Maybe in the Mythic Combat and Mythic Magic books?

I would be very much surprised if we saw even 1 specialized mythic splatbook in the next two years, and shocked if we saw more than 1 in the entire Pathfinder life-cycle.

Well it would depend on the success of the book, but why do you assume this?

Because of how few books we've seen in general, because of the extremely limited nature of playtest feedback (and thus limited displayed interest), and because of the nature of post 20 gaming as a whole. The market has never been large enough to warrant more than a couple publications.

Post 20? Mythic ain't just for post level 20 games.

But yeah, I agree with you, just a couple publications of Mythic would be enough. :-P

Remember that the playtest is just the tip of the iceberg, not the complete package. The full book is supposed to be a hardback after all, so they're probably concentrating on the core classes before they do the weird ones.

As a player who prefers the weird ones though, I'd like to see more options available to enhance core features of the "Base Classes". I don't think they need more mythic classes, just features in existing ones.

For instance, both the Hierophant and the Archmage have abilities that specifically apply to either divine or arcane spells. As a GM I see myself immediately house ruling that such affects apply to that player's spells in general, in order to support builds like the Hedge Witch or the Mystic Theruge.

I'd also like to see some options for the Mythic Gunslinger, Mythic Alchemist and Mythic Summoner specifically.
