Modifying a monster

I need help modifying an Alligator for a game I am going to be running. I need to increase its size to huge probably add in swallow whole and I am not sure how much will modify from that including the CR. any help would be appreciated.

Dire Creature + Simple: giant templates would add 2 size categories (among other things) and add +2 to CR. I'd say adding Swallow Whole on top of those would put it at a total bonus of +3.

Are you adding any hit dice too or just the size and the special ability? Also, are you aiming for a certain CR?

well I just looked at the Dire template and that is exactly what I want. I didn't know there was a dire template so now I know what I am going to do. but yes I will be adding Hit Dice with the template.
