Pathfinding Half Orc Sorcerer

Advice

Lantern Lodge

Hello everyone.

I'm trying to form the shapeless blob of my DM credit character into something recognizable. Quick backstory. Mother was an aasimar...father was an orc...not exactly a romance. Still she was raised by her mother and tries to be as good as possible to fight against what she sees as the evil part of her nature. This is what I have been thinking so far. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Half-Orc Oracle of Nature 1/Sylvan Bloodline Sorcerer 4

1st: Blackened Curse; Revelation: Nature's Whisper*; Toughness or improved initiative
2nd: Boar or Badger Companion
3rd: Boon Companion
5th: Arcane Armor Training

Str 9
Dex 12
Con 14
Int 12
Wis 12
Cha 18

My thought that since she can't physically fight herself she has the animal companion to do so. Any suggestions to help fill out the shell would be useful. There are probably a hundred things I could do better, but it has to be PFS legal.

* Nature's Whisper allows the character to use Charisma for AC and CMD in place of dexterity.

Why not just sticking to oracle? Your companion would be better - especially as aasimar. You could buff and heal it and play a supporter in general. Or whatever you want.

The character is just a regular half orc. The aasimar stuff is all for backstory. I wanted to go with the sorcerer because I can have a larger variety to choose from for an animal companion. The Bonded Mount can only be a camel or a horse. A smaller mount is easier to take into dungeon like places.

What exactly are you doing in combat? Like, if you could give us a quick spell list, that would help us critique and make suggestions immensely.

But I like your backstory. Inner conflict makes for good roleplaying.

Combat would involve buffing up allies as well as the animal companion. The character would have a heavily support role as opposed to personally fighting. Unfortunately I'll have to UMD a wand to use Magic Fang.

Sorry. Here is a rough spell list:

Oracle: Orision: Read Magic, Detect Magic, Stabilize, Enhance Diplomacy;
1st: Burning Hands, Cure Light Wounds, Liberating Command, Remove Fear

Sorcerer: Orision: Light, Resistance, Daze, Flare, Acid Splash, Spark;
1st: Enlarge Person, Magic Weapon, Protection from Evil, Entangle; 2nd: Darkvision

Liberty's Edge

If you've got light, then there's no reason for you to need darkvision, unless you're planning on stealthing at night, in which case, go for it. Still, seems like something you might just want to buy a wand of rather than spending a spells known slot on it.

I might suggest the mage armor spell as well, since you can cast it on your badger and make him roughly 25% tougher to hit.
