Non-Magical Items

Grand Lodge 1/5

One of my PCs was given a masterwork longspear by an NPC. Would a non-magical item remain in their inventory past the scenario itself, or do they need to purchase a new one?

They wouldn't keep it.

EDIT: I suppose you could have the PC pay for it (as if they bought it) if they were interested in keeping that particular spear.

That's what I thought. Thanks!

I sometimes write on a chronicle sheet (the player needs to remember, because I ALWAYS forget) that they got a particular item from the scenario. Of course, they have to be able to buy it and then buy it, but it's still in good fun.

Non-magical items are always available to buy, so they don't have to be on the chronicle sheet.

Excluding firearms.

Yeah, if a particular item from a particular scenario has emotional significance, I try to note it on the chronicle sheet (the player still has to pay for it).

Most of these items end up being non-cost, non-game affecting, though. (Like a goblin shaman's headdress, one of Colson Maldris' tri-corner hats...players are weird sometimes!)
